Just check out the pic., I'll be ordering a full set of vacuum hoses to go with the samcos tomorrow I think.

Didn't notice it until I removed the throttle body cover, plus the car has been lacking power recently (not to mention it stalled yesterday, hence we found the problem!).

Definitely check all your hoses and go for as much of stage 0 as you can, there I was thinking my 3" exhaust hadn't done much for top end. All I can say is wow!

that hose can be a PITA

factory one on my 10 yr old car was so brittle it snapped on me. got a replacement from volvo that only lasted 6 months. the outer section of the tight bend was so thin that it caved in and eventually looked like yours. on my third hose and it's built like it should have been in the first place.

when you get your new one from volvo, make sure the rubber on the outside (where the hole in yours is) is as thick as the rest.

Yeah, came as a big shock to me as I thought I'd some how done another AMM.

Haven't got a chip yet either as I want everything to be perfect before hand. I'm probably going to buy the stylinmotors silicone vacuum hoses, see if I can get some perfect stock performance (+ 3" turbo back exhaust and k&n panel) out of the car first.

Can't wait to get on the dyno again and see if I actually had a small vac leak at my last run. And I'll also be able to find out what k&n and exhaust does for power smile.gif

Thanks for the advice, I picked it up today (and the lower hose too) - but intend to clean the idle air motor and the TB in the next few days and will check it out. The more hoses I look at right now, the sooner I want to replace everything lol

The car will be running so Darn well!

Does Samco actually make that short fatty hose or is there another silicone replacement for it? Don't tell me that it's a Volvo only hose. I'm sure mine will go sometime in the future and I want to be prepared.

I'm not sure if you can get it elsewhere...I might try stylinmotors and see if they have a replacement. If not, I checked my replacement rubber one today and its fine, the lower hose is close to gone too though. Just need to get these samcos on and I should be all good.
