How Long To Rebuild A Transmission

how long should it take a shop to rebuild my transmission? they have had it since monday and said everything was weilded together inside of it and the fluid was burnt black. I've only had the the car for a month and i've been very easy on it I don't see how this could happen.

Whoever drove the car before you seems like took a real "good" care of it by running the crap out of it. Good luck with a rebuild. If you take it easy the rest of the way, your car will last. While you have tranny unplugged, make sure you replace the RMS and do PCV maintenance.
