Hi,

I was putting my summer tires on my 1995 850 yesterday when I noticed two things...

First of all, there's a mount on the exhaust pipe at the back of the car that seems to be broken (from excessive rust I am guessing). I think it should be going around the pipe, but right now, there's only the top part left. I would like to know the part number of the mount, so I could go and buy a new one.

My second question is for the tail pipe. It was so rusted out that I decided to get it off, but I was only able to get half of it off. I don't know if the whole pipe part that's got a cut in it should go off, or if it's only the top part. I'd also like to get the part number of the tail pipe if possible.

Maybe by looking at the following picutes it will help you answer my questions...

Thanks!

Looking at the diagram for this in V@DIS, it would appear that the bracket that rusted away from the pipe is actually part of the pipe and not replaceable w/o replacing the cat-back. My suggestion would be to have a muffler shop weld a new bracket on for you. As for the tip, I'd just take the top metal piece off, and add on some cheap stainless tip from an auto parts store.
