14.8 at 96 mph, kind of disappointing :( I only got 3 runs in and it was my first time at the track (Lebanon Valley)

60ft? Mods?

I'll +1 anyone who posts timeslips, decent videos of their runs, etc. I love a quality post :)

Wow Jake, an actual 1/4 time for a stock S60R that's close to the claimed stock time of 14.0.
Most S60R's that I've seen run 14.5+, nice job! The trap speed is way above the claimed stock track speed, as well.

what else would you expect from me?!

LOL but really

i have over 350+ runs down the track.. and im finaly starting to get used to this car

brake boosting at all? What tires are you running and how was traction? I know you can get a lot better then that

60 foot was around a 2.2-2.3. I feel like I should be able to get a consistent 2.2 or even 2.1 with this car.

Here are the time slips (I'm the slower of both):

Track conditions were apparently on the bad side that night due to humidity and from what I heard from the other people there (not too familiar with the track).
On my second pass, I accidentally drove through part of the burnout puddle when pulling up to the line, therefore my tires were soaked, and as soon as left the line I just spun and proceeded to for the next 400-500 feet, so that run was done.

Power mods include:
RICA Stage 2 Tune (14.7 psi/1 bar)
3" Turboback Exhaust with high flow cat
3" MAF to Turbo Inlet Intake
iPd HD CBV
iPd HD Coilpacks
FMIC with 2.25" piping
Stock 14T

I know that the power is definitely there to get better times, it's just the matter of driving the car correctly to achieve them.

Brake boosting to about 1800 RPM. I still think I wasn't giving enough instantaneous throttle while letting off the brakes. If I remember correctly, I think I spun a little bit on my third run in first gear.

Running Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 at 44 psi on all four corners.

Yea I'd like to go again. Based off a few other modded LPT S60's, I should be able to at least get down to 14.5 ET or better.

Running Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 at 44 psi on all four corners.

Is that what you normally keep your tires at? Any chance you checked them when they were warmed up? Seems fairly high. I used to run 40psi on Falken Fk452 205/55/16 and it was harsh as fuck. Did you make any change to tire pressure for the track night? If you were having traction problems, I'd try lowering them a bit. But it sounds like you were suffering more from bogging than anything else.

Yep, I know people always say that's a high pressure to run at. However I like the firm ride and added steering response with the higher pressure. I had a feeling I should have dropped the pressure down to the high 30's before hitting the track, but I wanted to see how they did at this pressure. My guess is they only went up another 1-2 psi from driving.

And like you said, I truly feel that it was more of a launching/bogging issue resulting in my times.

40 is quite high, i work in a tire shop and have done lotsa stuff with different stuff haha. 35-37 is tops i would run around every day. at 40 you will be wearing your centers of your tires out. i am currently running my Cooper Zeon RS3-A's at 30 because the normal 35 was too high. We will see i guess prolly end up around 32. Track you could easy run 30ish at the highest... Just my imput :)

What size are you running curious? I am pretty much kicked on mine and I did enjoy them but now that they are on coming right up to the wear bars... they feel very on edge to say the least. I assumed that as tread wore down you would SLOWLY lower the pressure (1-2 psi) as well but I am still on edge but if I go much lower the tire looks flat (although its not) and sorta holds the road like a floppy cock

time for something with more punch then a 16t

Running 235/45/17s which are too big haha, next set im dropping to 225/45/17s. Just rotated the tires for the second time at 6000 miles, All worn evenly at about 7-8 32nds left. Keeping preasure at 30 for now prolly wont go alot lower than that...

Welp... I must drive like a prick then cause I swung only 20K out of the tires. I will say they were awesome while they lasted but for that 45K mile warranty... I'm getting 56% back (when I have a job that can pay for it)

30 in my book is too low but to each their own. Have you done the whole puddle print test? seeing how much contact patch you actually have? It's not perfect but it can show you what is too low and what is too high then sorta just take the middle ground from it. I think I have mine at 35-36 cold all around. I believe that even my pocket data booklet lists it right at 33 although that is 205/45/R17 but again that was as close as what was actually listed.

That listing is for speeds under 160kph & I believe its 41.3 or something like that for speeds OVER 160kph... THESE ARE NOT EXACTLY WHAT IS IN THE POCKET DATA BOOKLET!!! but I can confirm them tomorrow afternoon

Also here is a guestimator for MOST passanger vehicles

(Vehicle Weight) / 100 = ? +/- 2 Psi

so 3300 ish / 100 = 33 psi (I prefer a bit extra)
