I think this is how DougK and I diagnosed that the BCS was causing a problem. Turns out the BCS replacement still hasn't fixed it.

Ok new problem. CBV now flutters when letting air through it. Kind of like those BOV that are designed to flutter when letting air out. Any ideas?

Would it be worthwhile to put a mity vac on the hose to the waste gate to see if it holds vacuum? That might let you know if there is a hole in it. Im willing to help you out if you cannot figure it out also. I live fairly close to you. Feel free to pm me.

I had a similar issue, even bent my rods due to that uncontrollable overboost.
Changed the BCS twice, and NOTHING, changed all hoses, and NOTHING, I was going to order a new wastegate actuator, until I decided to try with a MBC.
I dont know why(????), but ALL my boost problems were fixed after I install a Turbo XS MBC.
Good luck

Unfortunately with ME7 engine management you can't reliably run an MBC. I wondering if something is throwing the BCS off.

Does the wastegate rod get shorter then? I don't think it was ever shortened.

Turns out that when DougK played around with my BCS and vacuum lines he reinstalled them incorrectly. With the new BCS and the lines now corrected I can make boost to 17psi and the car isn't boosting too quickly or too high.
I am still getting fluttery boost at the high PSI though which I am thinking could be related to bad IC piping for the throttle body or a problem with a vacuum line somewhere.

Certainly a relief. Now the car drives normally again. It sucked to drive before - so much loss of power.
