so I had a date the other night. I go to pick up this girl, and we walk out my car, and shes all like, hey nice car, leather spoiler, 6 disc, 5-speed etc. so I go to turn the key, and whaddya know, it turn all the way around, and doesnt start the car. so I'm looking like a dumbass trying to start my car. but anyway, so I remember on my saturn the key sometimes wouldnt move if the steering wheel was locked. so I turned the wheel a bit to get the tension off of the steering lock, and the key would move just fine and start the car.

so I tried it with the volvo, and sure enough, the problem was gone. but it shouldn't have been there in the first place. what needs to be fixed and how much is it gonna cost?

I had the same thing happen to me on my S70. It happened a couple of time and then never happened again. I don't remember how much the dealer quoted me to replace the ignition cylinder but it was enought that it wasn't worth it to me, especially in light of the fact that it wasn't a regular problem.

hmm. Its almost a week later, and it hasn't happened since. I'm tempted to just leave it be. I'm sure it'll get worse, then I'll worry about it. then it'll be an anti-theft device :-D

as for the date...meh. shes hot, but i didnt think to take pics for you guys. sorry.
