I've noticed when riding with my wife in her '99 S70 AWD, that it makes a pulsating noise once she gets up to speed. The interesting thing is that the noise changes based on where I sit.
* In the front passenger seat, it sounds like it could be the front passenger wheel.
* In the rear passenger seat, sounds like it's coming from the rear passenger wheel.
* And in the rear driver's side seat, sounds like it's coming from the drive train or diff.
Plus in the rear there is a lot of road noise (is this normal? thinking peel-n-seal might be a project).
Any ideas of what it could be, and how to test to narrow it down?
FYI, not sure if it's related, but the parking brake doesn't work hardly at all.
Pulsating Noise - 35-45mph

Since no responses here...
Dealer thinks it's due to a tiny bit of "cupping" on one tire.
Who knows. If anyone wants 4 tires, see the FS section.

Do you get vibration or this pulsating at higher speeds like 70mph?? Could be a drive shaft problem. Check the tire wear too as JB said. When did the car last have a service with spark plugs, air filter, etc..?
When was the ETM last replaced? How many miles on the car?

No vibration, just noise. I originally though it was more likely a wheel bearing, but can't be sure.
Car just had service (Filter, plugs, oil, etc). ETM also updated last week.
Thinking I may just replace all 4 tires if someone offers to buy the old ones for a FWD (or RWD I guess)
