So here is the scoop. Just got 17x8 pegs installed with 225/45/17 toyo proxes on my '00R with ipd sway bars, and about an 1 1/2" drop on tme/ipd springs. I had 215/45/17 bf goodridge tires on 17x7.5" tme wheels prior to this. Same suspension set up. So leaving the lot I'm getting a rub noise, turns out the rear swaybar is rubbing against the rear axle, looks like a quater inch lost in clearence between the different tire sizes. ANybody heard of this? Got a solution? Why would such a mellow tire size change affect the suspension geometry so much?

You absolutely need 5mm spacers all around the car. Don't do just the rear. I have the exact same wheels and tire size and I still rub on the front with the 45s but only on the plastic a bit.
Please get the 5mm spacers. Group buy is on in Member Announcements. I am using my stock lugs but do this at your own risk. The spacers will solve all the problems.

Adding some extra washers to change the angle on the rear bar. This should do the trick.
