My local shop recently changed from Valvoline to Kendall oil. I was having them put in valvoline durablend and this time had them put in Kendall's synthetic. Is this a good quality oil? Anyone have any experience with this oil?

will your shop not use customer supplied oil? The majority of the guys here use Mobil-1 Syn.

Yes, Kendall makes very good oil. It is not an off-brand.

Thanks, I know most of you use Mobil 1-synthetic. But do any of you know anything about Kendall? PS. I will probably do the change myself next time and will use Mobil 1 synth.
in the interim period between your oil change, Kendal will be fine.

I suspect it is a refined group III synthetic instead of a PAO synthetic like Mobil 1. This means it is better than a conventional oil, but does not quite have the same performance for both low temperature flow and high temperature oxidation resistance that Mobil 1 or other Group IV oils would give you.
