So, my mom was telling me a week or so ago that our S60 is making lots of noises...

Since that didn't help me out TOO much as to what they were I took it out for a drive. I noticed that when I step on the brake it makes an intermitted squeaking noise. Then again most cars do with aftermarket pads (the Volvo dealer we bought it from in July apparently didn't fit it with Volvo pads.. hmm...) Anyway, when you're coming to a stop I hear another noise that alarms me...

Under 5mph I hear this bouncing noise... sorta like when you're rocking up and down in your bed or in a rocking chair...

I guess like a creek/bounce -like noise. Whatever.. anyway, it sort of alarms, but it's not affecting the way the car drives. I took it to my Volvo dealership to get checked out and they performed a check and re-certified the car. So... they said the safety check is fine ont he car.

So.. what could it be?

Tire noise possibly? chopped up rear tire from lack of rotation? Purley a guess

Dude, pre-2005 S60s are peices... Doesn't help you much, haha.

Haha...

Always thought that about the pre-2003 S60s. Nonetheless, I rarely drive it since it's my mom's car. I much prefer the S40 over the S60... more fun to drive. If we're talking S60R, then that's a different story. Haha.
