Car is a 99 S70 AWD with 129,750 miles. When the lights come on, the motor wants to stay at or around 1600 rpms (even without my foot on the gas). It revs to this as it downshifts also. I get a surging like before the ETM software update was done, just not when i'm stopped. Of course, the check engine light is on, and i'm getting it read at lunch. Any guesses before i take it down? Thanks guys.

found a couple on the bay that are rebuilt for less than $100. Does that sound right? thanks for your help and the dealer is calling me back.
