I just had the 155 recall performed on my '01 T5 w/ Geartronic (along w/ the cooling fan recall). I've been planning to do a tranny flush for a couple of weeks now, but today I noticed that the car has started to shift hard into R and D when at a stop w/ an audible clunk. Also it sometimes downshifts pretty hard from 2nd to 1st gear when coming to a stop, also sometimes w/ a clunk. I also notice a clicking/buzzing/whirring sound coming from under the armrest/gearshift area. At first I thought I was being paranoid but it's definitely there. Could this be a coincidence or has anyone experienced their tranny acting up post-software upgrade? I that these transmissions are known to have problems but mine was fine until I had the recall done and other than the problems I mentioned above it seems fine. Thanks.
