Johann,

When we did the True Trac install on my 240 rear axle we made sure to check the lash before and after and correct with the appropriate shims. Did you check the lash?

Before installing this LSD I measued this and also another LSD and stock diff to check for differences because this LSD was meant for an S40 M56 gearbox.
I wanted to make sure all was the same. The measurements were accurate, within 0.01 mm and it turned out the LSD was within very tight tolerance. I also measured the bearing after installing them and the measurements were indentical with the stock setup.

About the lash, if I understand what you are asking, it can't be adjusted. There is no way to move the diff gears closer of further away from each other. In a normal rear axle setup the gears are 90 degree to each other and bij moving one gear closer or further away the lash can be adjusted. The only thing which can be done is shimming the diff bearings to adjust pretension to the bearings. In this gearbox shimming is done by placing a shim behind the bearing cup in the gearbox casting, not behind the bearing cone on the diff shaft.
