I unhooked my Battery the other day and my cd player asked me for a code. While I was talking to Volvo my little brother put in a bunch of numbers and now it says off. What can I do Ive tried unhooking the battery and there is still no change? Thanks.

I know the code to my player, but it doesnt say "CODE" anymore it just says "OFF" because the wrong code has been put in too many times.

Ignition on, engine off for 2 hours. It will reset to "CODE". Enter code good to go. Some sort of super wack security feature, but that is how to get rid of it.

Damn I can't remember, probably 2 to be safe. Hook up a battery charger too, and garage it if you can. And for the 2 hours, that is max. I'd check it every half hour, it varies from car to car.

It could possibly, but we don't have that kind of time around the shop so I don't know. If you got 2 hours you migh as well give it a try, provided you are not drunk like I am at the moment.

PS I hate the San Diego Chargers, but love the Arizona Cardinals. Seahawks FTW!!

You think my battery would die after 2 hours at position 2? I dont have access to a charger right now and I really want to listen to some tunes.

Nothing with it at position 1, so i will have to wait to get a charger to do it at position 2.

Thanks, my bad.

And by the way, took a three hour drive and it went back to code exactly 2 hours and 10 minutes after i started the car.

Pull the radio out, unplug the power for a minute plug it back in and then enter your code.

It will work but you have about a 1 minute window of time when you plug it back in...otherwise it will go to OFF again.
