so in my continuing search for new rims for my car I decided to look to tirerack and see what they offered in 17" or 18" by 8" and it brought up some results that interested me alot, especially the prices.

The ones I liked were the Rial Nogaros at $199 a piece for an 18" by 8"

I'm not nuts about the whole fake 2-piece look, but I love the look and color

the ASA AR1's at ~170 a pop for 17" by 8"s

same comment as the Rial's

the AT Italia Inox's at $199 for 17" by 7.5's

they look alot like some of the OEM wheels that saab offers for the 9-5, but are a bit wider.

the ASA AR2's also caught my attention

and I really like the ASA EM9's, but they only come 17" by 7" which is a bit narrower than I'd prefer.

My real question is whether anyone has any experience with any of these wheel brands, and what can they say about the quality and durability? I decided against 19's because the MA roads are horrible and the tires would be way expensive, but I'm wondering about the durability of these rims. I know ASA is BBS-backed so that probably says something about the quality, and Rial is a german-based company and the wheels are all TUV approved, but I'm still interested about how any these wheels would compare quality-wise to say the recent OEM volvo wheels. I really like the prices, but I wonder how much you get for your money with any of these brands.

Good company, good rims (but not speaking from personal use, was a friend), these are a safe bet.

I get all of the vicarious volvo thrills I need by trying to talk my dad into doing a V8 conversion on my old 940 (now my brother's car)

and right now it looks like it's coming down between the Rial Nagaros and the ASA AR2's, though I'm so-so about whole black painted bit on the ASA's and I'm leaning heavily towards the Rial's

I dunno, the AR2 seems a bit flashy for me, I want to see how it would look on a larger car like mine

the nogaro looks alot like the 17" BBS rims that came on 9-5 aeros so I konw it will look awesome and work with the car.

EDIT: I forgot to add that the AR2 is 18" by 7.5" whereas the nogaro is 18" by 8" so I could run wider tires, something especially important with my FWD car
