Yea there is a link I saw before and I cannot find it. It was about modding something on the S60 and I'm sure it applied to V70's aswell, I will keep looking for you though.

I found what I was looking for but I don't think its the problem you have http://www.xenonvalot.com/xenonfixvolvo.html sad.gif

Not the problem I have .
mine won't even light...the car cuts the power before the bulb "latches" and there is 0v to the light connector

Well as no one is giving any answers on this... This is a common problem on those cars. The car us cutting power completely to protect the wiring. You need to use a wiring harness that connects the kit directly to a battery or upgrade to a 50w kit so the lights are drawing power closer to what the car needs. A software upgrade from the dealer will also likely fix this but many dealers won't do it unless they have installed the HIDs themselves. The most garaunteed fix is to use a wiring harness. I thought the MyDepots kits came with one? Let me know if you need one as I do sell them.

Got my 2 kits (one for the 850 and one for the S40) and initial impression of build quality, etc is very good. solid build and good insulation and connectors, and they freakin rock. I will never have another car without hid's. Sure it takes a couple weeks to get, it is coming from China remember, and it's so cheap, so...

Anyways, from my experience I highly recommend these and so far it looks like I might be ordering 5 more kits for friends here tongue.gif They are all jealous of the hid

Thanks for the answer. That's also what I suggested that he should try in our email communication. But r u sure this can solve his problem? He has a 2005 Volvo V70 and he purchased the BMW kit which already has a built-in resistor to eliminate the "check bulb error".

The new cars can be so picky. I have sold kits to the exact same model and year car and I have them react differently to the same kit. The wiring harness is the only thing I've found to solve the most picky of cars, that or a 50w kit. I haven't found the resistors to be much good at anything with these new cars from people who have upgraded from a kit with resistors to my kit.

How does this wiring harness work?
Can you e mail me a wiring diagram?
I want to get these lights working, the alternative is a kit from the U.K.

Yeah, I've had it a couple years, but its the wifes primary car, so not much has been done to it besides sound.

Is it possible for you to send me an H1 BUlb. i had started a thread about it, people told me prjectors are still 9006... well they aren't the same. i'm guessing it's an h1. is anything possible?

if not. does someone want to buy 9006 bulbs, 6000k temepature cheap, so you can just buy the ballasts that are needed, and save your self some money?

How about we let mydepot sell his kits and let him do the talking in his own thread? K, thanks, bye.

Some one has the same problem as you with his Benz. Some of his friends who already had HID also told him a relay harness can solve the problem. I sent him a relay harness to do the test. Will keep you posted on the test result.

What do you mean? You ordered the wrong bulb type? We can offer an exchange if you can send the bulbs back and pay the shipping fee for us to send the correct bulbs to you. But considering all the shipping cost, you can buy a new pair of spare bulbs with that money smile.gif

I'm going to order them for my '94 NA and my '94 Turbo. I know for low beams for the later headlights I need 9006's, am I correct that for the H4 dual filament bulbs (IE the 93/early 94 style) I order the H4 Bi-Xenon's and they'll function as both high/low beams?
