99 V70XC turbo wagon 85Kmiles. ETS light comes an goes about every third or forth drive cycle. Dealer did ECM903F upgrade for the second time and also noted a ECM904D mismatched hardware code which he didin't have a clue about. My question is; could this throw the ETS light and why did it arise (possibly ABS computer replacement?) Also ETM looks to be original but I do not think the dealer wants to replace it for some reason. HELP!

It probably needs an ETS

if it has a white sticker, you are due for a new free one with yellow sticker
take it somewhere else where they know this and can give you a straight answer, and the proper check of the PCV system at the same time all based on the warranty.

Look at the fuse box under the hood by the l/f strut tower. Open the cover and look at the eyelet brace with a flashlight. Look down the eyelet bracket and see if the copper wires are black and corroded. That could be you problem if this is the case.
