A truck felt like losing something when I was passing it. Got it replaced, but I think my ego is shot. I'm not driving on that stretch of highway again.

And yes, the object made it through the windshield

Getting it replaced, 30 mins after it happened. Talk about quick!

By the time it sunk in my head, I had already passed him up and forgot how the truck looked like. 880 is the truck route for the San Francisco Bay Area, and highway for the Oakland ports, trucks are everywhere at that time.

So what did it let go at you?

Man, good thing it wasnt a lil lower, that would have been nasty on the hood or front end. We had a V70 at the dealer one time hit a piece of steel and it went all the way through the headlight and control unit behind it.

You're lucky!

A woman died 2 weeks ago over here. She got a stone through the windshield, and hit a tree. The stone came from another car; bored youngsters or so. Few other cars got damaged.
