Thanks, mang. Yeah, I was messing around with the depth of field on that one. Was focusing on the pole not expecting them to make a face, but then they reacted to some story my friend was telling. Caught it at the perfect time, but the wrong compositional idea in my mind.

Was able to shoot a friend of mine the other night that performs in a fireball spinning group thing. Anyway, I used an AB800 w/ a battery pack, rear shutter sync, and slow shutter speeds.

My first attempt to shoot someone with a flash (nikon sb800). Kinda like this picture. Ohh, and no other light sources or light reflectors (ordered a set but never arrived :( )

most of the people who spin poi (the fireballs) also spin glowsticks, which also makes for really cool pictures.
