well i took my SC-815 HU out of my 97 the other day to repair some lightbulbs..but when i put it back in, it wont let me put in the security code. It doesnt even give the "EEEEE" I have previously put in the code with no problem. Time for a new head unit?

Does the radio give you any kind of message at all??

when the radio is powered on, "CODE" comes up. After attempting to enter in the code, the "CODE" message still remains on the display (the numbers that you push in dont even come up on the screen). Also, i've checked all the connections, as well as disconnected and reconnected it several times.
