I'm curious as to what the best 60 ft time would be for our cars on street tires. If you have a manual tranny make sure you mention that. Also, explain what kind of tires, pressures, and technique you used if possible.

After 3 runs my best was a 2.306. I'm running 215/45/17 Goodyear GS-D3's. Judging from the video my friend took of one of my runs I'm getting a very small amount of tire spin. I brake torqued up to 2500ish and then floored it. I was running normal tire pressure, ~35 psi.

2.157 60'

Pirelli P-7000 215/35/19 34 PSI
V70 AWD 5-Speed Manual

I could probably do alot better but last time i went to the track (with new ecu) it was kinda cold and the track was slippery as hell. I think i could get a 2.0 on a hot day.

*edit* Just a note that this 60 foot time is BEFORE i got my new ECU *edit*

how bout 60's from non volvo?

my old car, 92 talon awd 1.790!

bandimere speedway 5800ft asl

you guys not getting wheel spin need to put your foot in it a little more at the tree! biggrin.gif A bit of wheel spin is actually a good thing because it takes some of the load off your drivetrain and axles, as well the car fails to realize that the wheel is slipping (tracs-disengaged) and continues to increase rpm and boost pressure.
some of my highest traps and best 60's came from hard launching.

1 thing that should be noted here. A tenth less 60ft can turn into 2 tenths at the 1320 mark and
increased trap speeds!

1989 Mustang, stock suspension with aftermarket upper and lower control arms, ET streets and skinnies: 1.677 60', Bradenton Motorsports Park.

A note about the Volvo.. my car only picked up ~19mph in the last 1/8th mile on its best run so far. It's a shame how weak these cars are up top.

Thanks! I've run a best of 12.1 in the quarter mile, but that was with a completely worn out posi earlier this year. (Could only do a 1-tire burnout! blink.gif ) So with the new posi I had installed last month, it should run a 12.0 or 11.9, naturally aspirated.

I'd still like to see what the S70 GLT would run in the quarter, but my wife says no. Oh well. rolleyes.gif
