So a while back I had the common abs/trac light problem. Abs would pump for no reason and lights go on the dash.... Bought a rebuilt unit from bba-reman (ebay) and all was fine once replaced. Now for the last 2 weeks every time I'd drive the abs/trac would come on again along with a check engine light, but the brakes don't pump like they used to. Codes are as follows.
abs 0011 wheel sensor, left front, faulty signal
abs 0020 wheel sensor, right front ,signal missing, intermittent fault
abs 0093 control module communication, control module communication
abs 0095 control module communication, control module communication, permanent fault
abs-0021 wheel sensor, right front
code 1550 for the check engine light as well.
I decided not to clear the codes I pulled off the front two wheels and cleaned the sensors. ABS/Trac and check engine lights gone now, and the problem hasn't happened in the last 15 miles or so. Before the cleaning was happening every time I drove for more than a block or 2.
Never had the codes read prior to purchasing the rebuilt unit (which has lifetime warranty) but I'm a bit concerned that the control module itself seems to have codes present. Does it seem like this unit is failing or was it just a code that will come up if there is any problem with the abs system?
Also why is the right front sensor listed twice? Is that the cause of this, if so why is left listed as well? Both sensors dying?
Any info appreciated! Thanks guys!

I'd say you got a bad ABS unit.

Based on some ABS units I have received from other shops, I suspect a problem with the ABS unit.
Unfortunately, I am not aware of any of those shops having a way of testing the ABS units.
If you wish I can test it for you.

Problem was actually the right front sensor as it turns out. No more codes of any type or abs/stc lights and codes. Parts dept guy said its not common but they do die from time to time. Thanks all.
