I was thinking about how nice an in-dash cd changer would be to take up that space under the single-din stereo, but am now thinking it wouldn't be possible as there isn't enough space.
Can someone shed some light on this topic?

There are several companies that make Single DIN in dash Changers. I don't recall the brand or how many disks, but I know they Exist.

IIRC Nakimichi had a Single DIN HU that had a 3 Disk Changer Built in.

yup, just search for Single-DIN changers in yahoo or something. If i had some $$$ i'd defintly get an Eclipse HU with their indash changer. Im pretty sure its 5 or 6 discs too.

i have a blaupunkt in-dash single cd head unit and right below it i have a blaupunk 5-disc changer. the top headunit controls the changer so i get 6 discs in dash. i love the unit. you can have it if you want. i just took it out of the car and bought an mp3 player 'cause i thought the unit was bad. it turns out that the amp in my trunk was the problem. so it's in good working order and looks like it came with the car.

If you could get the Bose changer from the Yukon Denali I think it would fit. I think there are other changers out there that would fit as well.

well, just one word of warning, in my experinces, indash 6 discs have been extremely prone to jamming, i have had 3 eclipses, 4 pioneers, and a blaupunkt go bad.

in today's world, where you can put 15 cds on a single mp3 disc, i just dont see the point of an indash 6 disc anymore...

Well, I have a headunit I like, and don't have the money to shell out on another new headunit. I mean, I do have the means to hook my mp3 player up to it (got the wire sitting in the tray down there under the ash tray hooked up and ready to go), but for some reason I just like CDs better. Maybe 'cause it shows the track and cd info and such if I put it on the CD.

It's a Sony head unit. Would other brand changers hook up to it easily enough? And would I still be able to get that info from the CDs?
