What Did You Do To Your Car Today.

Recommended Posts

nice.

Me: How much to get the panels where the rip is replaced ?

Him: Oh, you know, shouldn't be bad, $155 work for you ?

Me: Yeah, hell yeah, sign me up!

Turns out he had some leather that matched perfectly that was sitting from a prior repair. I got oh so lucky! :)

people will probably end up finding out... so mind as well spill the beans now and get the humiliation over with...

So i ended up getting a pretty banged up rear R bumper for almost next to nothing, and I was test fitting it to my car(ei holding up to the car to gauge what it'll look like). Someone I was blocking at the shop has to get out, and I completely forget the bumper was sitting behind my car... so I crunch over them like the fuckin moron I am. The damage isn't too bad, and I was going to cut the flares out of the bumper and bondo/fiberglass over them so it just means im going to need to bondo and fiberglass over the cracks.

besides that, spark plugs, coils, added sound insulation in the doors, painted the valve cover/timing belt cover to a dull matte blue.

who cares about the rear what about the Front R bumper where are you with that ? :D

I take it it did not get totalled ?

As for me: made an appointment with an upholstery shop to have the driver seat redone since it has a tear and asked them to slide the heating units under the leather while they have the seats out next week...

oh no, its totaled... i'm going to buy it back though, so i will need it...

that and i was paying $30 a day on rental insurance because i had none :) and thats just insane..

Im waiting till I can either peice together a body kit using the front and rear bumper with ERST sideskirts or make the R sportkit flare out less so that it will flow with my existing sideskirts. Got a pretty good quote for a whole respray in bmw alpine white III so i'll be pulling the trigger real soon.

Not to my car...

But yangotang and I went to take parts from this 850 a person has on CL (he's parting it out). Got some nice parts (sadly no rear bumper). It was like being at a junkyard and pulling parts, but the prices were cheap!

* rear bumper foam + support beam

* main window switch + relay

* sunroof trim

* misc switches

* door trim moldings

* driver's side mirror assembly

* clip for rear seats

$50! w00t. And it was 10 blocks from my place.

Well check engine light came on and car runs rough. So tomorrow I'll get the codes and fix whatever is wrong with her. I think she is just wanting more personal one on one time honestly but maybe she really is sick.
