^ congrats too.

I started sanding the cracked spots on the bumper with 100grit :D

there are now no signs of bumper herpes.

Bout to go sand the whole thing down in a second.

What.... The... Fuck...

Did I get myself into with this

SO MUCH SANDING!!!

There is seriously like 3 different layers of primer, paint and clear   :wacko:

I am still sanding and primering.

Finally made it to the oem primer (its white right?)

Tossed a couple coats of primer, and am sanding back down to fill in any spots, looks like just that will take me most of tomorrow.

going to take my time on this and probably rock a silver bumper from the jy for a week.

No rain, so I might leave it in the backyard on the porch monday to bake.

This is pretty much what drove me to do it...

Took it to get an estimate just because and the guy was around 800$ after labor, primer, paint, and fixing the crack in the middle.

after 7 places I decided I will follow your write up to the letter.

Yeah the sanding and the prep is time consuming..but after 2000 miles (1000 of it a road trip last week) there are just a couple of small chips all caused by a dumptruck raining limestone all over. My fender got it worse and that's factory painted. Let me know if you have any questions..

New tires!

4 new Eagle GTs for 310.00 plus tax (buy 3 get one free and an $80 rebate!) they deferred the interest for a year on my Sears card too

plus an alignment for 49.00 because I bought 4 tires

I like these OK, they are a good daily driver tire.. got 33k out of my last set and still could have gone 10k more maybe..but one had 2 patches and another was leaking and was flat this am. Fuck it, sale was too good to pass up and was only good this week..

I wish I could get near 30k on a set of tires.

I've tried them all and get about 12k to 15k. Twistys with rough chipseal at speed FTL

Popped a tire yesterday, put some Satellites on it temporarily.

I hate the way my car looks, I miss my 18's. :( :(
