Hand washed it for the first time in months (just had been getting spray washes), then went out with a few friends so they could get a roller for me.

Well, a "clean" oiled-up k&n is a dark red... whereas when i pulled mine out before i cleaned it... it resembled melted chocolate...

That's what she said.

There's been plenty of talk about wet vs dry filters. All I know is that we tend to go through MAF's a lot quicker when using wet filters. Be it over oiling or just the nature of the beast, it's still a pricey mod when you consider the cost of a MAF sensor.

I've got the AEM Dry Flow filter in my SR5T intake and love it. Just my $0.02. No oiling or anything, ever.
