What Did You Do To Your Car Today.

Recommended Posts

Winter oil for the daily.

Also Lemforder control arms, endlinks, and new drive shafts. Recently replaced the shock assemblies as well. New suspension for ~700 bucks, hoping to get another 100k+ out of it all.

Its running very well. Turn signals aren't working for some reason. Seems like the switch.
Plans for it de-cat and chips. Going to pull the wheels, Koni struts and Weltmeister springs from the 951 and put them on the 944.
The 951 isn't going back on the road for a few more months. I plan to get coil-overs and lighter wheels for it. Finally found a shop that won't rape me to put a bigger wheel in the turbo.

I need to stop looking at E36 M3 sedans on CL. I might accidentally buy one.
It's nice to drive one again.
Head lights go up. Headlights go down. Head lights go up. Headlights go down. Headlights go up, headlights go... wait headlights go do... FUCK! GO DOWN!!!!!
I love the seating position of it. And the shifter feels so much nicer than the GVR4 (stupid cable trans) Sure its slow buts fun throw through corners.

The driving position and shifter are a couple of the things that always drew to those.. My buddy Joey has a mildly modded (seriously modded suspension) and mostly gutted 87 944 that he dogs on racetracks all over the country. He turns great laps times because it rails and he's consistent.

so my tailgate window just randomly completely shattered on my wagon while the car was sitting running/parked today.. possible acorn? possible act of god?  we may never know.. in any event It didnt start falling apart until I got home ...  so I installed the tailgate from the V70R on my car .. I guess I am definitely parting that thing out now!

I have full glass coverage but I wasnt about to wait .. anyone ever get their ins. co to cut them a check for a glass claim?  in my experience which has always been just for windshields they just try and send someone out to replace, I have never tried to just straight claim it for a check ...
