Got my aftermarket unit installed and it sounds great
the problem i have now is with my CD changer.
it is an Alpine CHM-S601.
on the headunit that i have, there is a 8pin din port where i can literally connect the changer to the unit with a perfect fit.
the headunit recognizes that it is a cd changer, but says "NO MAGAZINE" when there is a magazine there.
then i remembered that with my old stock hu, i used the special 8pin - 'mini' 8pin adapter. that adapter needed to utilize 12V constant and 12V switched.

so thinking that was the type of cable i needed, i headed to the local audio stores, hoping that they sell a standard 8pin din cable with 12V constant and 12V switches wires

apparently they don't, something about cd changers being stolen and that they can't sell them seperately (seems logical...)

so now what the hell do i do?

Check eBay? I mean, legal stuff like that doesn't tend to apply there.

i've looked on ebay, and i already have the cables that they are selling, but they don't seem to contain what i need.

maybe there is a mini 8pin to regular 8 pin adapter somewhere
