are the sizes and dimensions of the 850 sedan and the 850 wagon rear bumper the same? aside from the top part of the wagon bumper being scooped out for the hatch to open, are they basically the same bumper? ie, the dimensions from the rear wheel well to the back of the bumper, etc?

850 estate rear bumper is longer than the saloon rear bumper, same width though.

AWD 850 bumpers also have a spot for dual exhaust.
I just reread that you wanted JUST wagon vs sedan fitment, but never hurts to have too much info

i've never heard of an 850 awd. v70 awd and s70 awd i have but never 850....

good luck, best solution is to cut out the rear bumper with a sawsal. Same thing pretty much. You can also get caps for them to make it look OEM.

Correct.
A couple of years ago, I went and looked at a 97 850 AWD wagon for sale in Montreal, 5 speed. Didn't have enough $ at the time, too bad.
