Truck came into the shop wanting his bed redone, what we found in the bed was a series of sub boxes with four old school rf subs, and a few amps, the entire bed was pretty beat up. so he asked me if i can resuse his subs, build a nicer enclosure (there was already a vent going into the cab), and carpet his entire bed so he can sit in it comfortably...

three days, 20 yards of carpet, and five whole sheets (4x8 foot) of mdf later, we got the isntall done...smile.gif also note hte plexi window that shows off the subs and box with painted inside panels. smile.gif

did all the mdf go into the sub enclosures, or is there some under all that carpeting too?

Is that a standard camper top or is it slanted (can't tell from the pic)?

the woods went into the quad 12" box, the tirm panels around it, and the entire floor is mdf first, and then carpet, i also carpeted the side of hte bed, which was quite a pain since its vert curved and i did it iall in one piece ohmy.gif

those subs are old school rockford punch DVCS, they are okay, gut with four 12s and 1000 watts venting into a small space, its bound to be loud wink.gif

oh and yeah, its a slanted shell...

good lord Bing, 5 sheets MDF must be around 400-450 lbs of material! (I have to buy that stuff by the unit for work)

So when are you going to get one of these for work?

bah screw you doug! tongue.gif wink.gif

acutally, 5 sheets of course wasnt ALL used down to the last part, in the end, i estimate the entire bed install was about 300 lbs, but, we acurally think we only gained about 50 lb s becuasehis old set up was very clunky and heavy tongue.gif
