So Hell In A Handbasket?

Recommended Posts

CA now NY

I know this is a touchy subject but I am really not looking forward to the next couple years if it starts moving across the US

call me old fashion but marriage, I believe, should be between a woman and a man and that’s it.

its not that I have a problem with homosexuals, its the fact that their "culture" is notorious for making people KNOW that they are homosexuals and want them to know they are here and will stand out.

I also do not get the whole lisp/ feminine voice (no physical reason why a male who is a homosexual should have it)

(not sure if this will get deleted but it is a political discussion I would like to keep civil)

I think as long as men are allowed to marry ugly women then they should be allowed to marry men too. There are a lot of alternative life members here. Jeff, Grant, Adam, and a bunch of others. I just hope you were polite and did not say anything in front of him when he was at your house Justin. Live and let live.

Extemists in any group are going to cause a problem. I think the 'culture' to which you refer are the extremists. Likewise, the anit-gay marriage lobbyists are religious extremists. (the ones that are going to cause the trouble that is)

My beliefs are fairly broad. I let everyone have thier own ideas. I believe that by imposing one's own ideas onto others, one is infringing on thier rights. Once again, extreme liberalism doesn't work either. I live by the 10 commandments, and expect others to do the same.

I don't see the harm in gay marriage, or in gays in general. (i'm all for hot lesbians :D) The gay marriage law doesn't say that straight ppl have to now marry members of the same sex. It's only allowing those who chose that route to do what they want to do. Marriage is a financial contract in the eyes of the law thesedays anyway. It's like saying companies may now merge even if the CEO's are the same sex.

Justin and Dave, you two are hilarious, and are thinking about this the completely wrong way. Why?

Are you guys comfortable in your own sexuality? Yes?

Every gay male out there is one penis I don't have to compete with.

Every gay male couple or marriage is two penis's I don't have to compete with.

They more homosexual men in the world, the more pussy for all us straight guys.

That is all.

and thats sad, all the people getting married and then getting divorced is a joke. People think getting divorced is an easy way out when their spouse pisses them off. It also does not help that celebs are doing it just to help their popularity.

but lets stay on topic

I just do not like how we are getting farther from the "what is right and wrong" from the biblical sense... now its... "what is right and wrong" in our own feelings which is trouble because there are a lot of selfish and shallow people in the US... hell look at the majority of kids growing up in HS and what not.

I believe people are NOT born homosexual but they become them... I do not agree that people are born sexually attracted or attacted to the same sex... so i guess thats another reason why I do not agree with the gay marriage

If culture bothers you, then surely all would? I mean US, Eurocentric, African, Eastern, Iraqi? Being anti-cultural is fairly broad, and that's not something you want to be stigmatised with! I hope. I also have a problem with the lunatics who take thier culture to the extreme, and rub it in your face. Africans that insit on bringing thier traditional what-nots to a place of work piss me off, Europeans that refuse to diversify and speak english when spoken to in english really annoy me. Iraqi's that blow up buildings don't belong on the planet imo. Gays who are out to convert staight men must stay the hell away from me. But these people aren't the majority. They're a select few that get all the attention and thus classify the whole group.

That being said, If it weren't for the out-the closet types, the fearful majority who just want 'normal' life with thier partner would not get the benefit. I think the law protects those who are in same-sex relationships from the abuse and possibly voilence against them in certain comunities. It gives them a leg to stand on. If 2 guys walk down the street holding hands and some anti-gay activist feels the need to beat them to a pulp, at least it gives them the oppertunity to take rightful legal action againt such abuse.

I dunno, that's my view. If they're not hurting or stealing from you, others, animals, any other entity, who are we to pass judgement?

Being a homo I could careless if gay marriage passes in any state, the fact that people have actually put so much thought and time into this when there are so many other things wrong in this world is really sad.

And Dave, you really are a closet case, the sooner you deal with being gay the sooner your life will be a lot better, less anger ;)

Numerous psychological and neurological studies have shown that there is a biological basis for homosexuality, both genetic and physiological. This is cross cultural and is even exhibited in multiple animal species and goes as far back as Ancient Greece.

What is homosexual culture Dave? A limp wrist? A lisp? That's behavioral, not cultural.

LOL at the comment about Adam at Justin's house!

No problem with gay marriage, some peeps on here alreay know my sister is gay and has a live-in GF. Why should she not have the same rights as the rest of us.

Is she hot? :) j/k. It's always been funny for me how lesbians (gay women) are more socially acceptable than gay men.
