For years I've heard a lot of complaining about Volvos being the forgotten stepchildren of the Euro scene. It's time to stop complaining and do something about it.

Have you said to yourself any of the following:

1) The Volvo aftermarket is lacking
2) I never see articles on modified Volvos (besides plublicity shots from Heico)
3) My Volvo doesn't get any respect

It's time to demand some recognition. If we hit them with 50+ Volvos all on the same day there is no way they will refuse to publish some (and eventually acknowledge that Volvo enthusiasts exist).

We are organizing a blitz on the Eurotuner Reader's Rides for July 8th (the Tuesday after July 4th weekend).

Instructions for this thread are simple....this is what you need to do:

-Post the 1 picture (jpeg format) you want to send to Readers Rides
-List the Year, Make, and Model (ex: '98 Volvo S70 t5)
-List the modifications

THAT IS ALL FOR NOW.....

On Tuesday the 8th (which gives us a week and a half) you will take the picture you posted, attach the jpeg to an email to along with your name and location to send to readersrides@eurotuner.com



For $0 and a couple minutes of work we could actually benefit quite well if we get coverage. Companies will not develop or market products for Volvos unless they know there is a following. Let's show them that Volvos aren't just for hauling groceries...they're for hauling @ss!

This thread is meant for us to organize our photos and mod lists to get an idea of what to send in. Besides it's nice to see everyone's pics.

I'd like to be considered for this blitz too. I think it's an idea that is completely long overdue and I think that the EVL WAGN would be a good addition to the mix of modded rides.

I thought eurotuner wants to write a real story. I think Mark(blackt5) will able to get in with amount of work he did to the car and a lot of hp too. Most of our cars on VS run in low 14 high 13's.. Hard to impress readers

I know the publisher of ET and sorry to burst your bubble,but it ain't gonna happen.

The world of Volvo is a small island compared to the VAG universe. Its too bad Swedish cars get no play in the mags but thats just how it is.

When I had my black T5R wagon all done up it hardly got a notice other than the rare fellow Volvo geek, and it was usually some old professor w/ a 240 or an Amazon , but when I roll with my Audi S4 or AMG Benz I get daily stoplight revs....questions at the gas pump...etc.

I don't see it changing...sad but true.
