Just bought a 2003 S60 t-5. (private party) The stock head unit is a HU-803. I put a CD in and I get CD Error. Not sure if other discs are stuck inside or what the deal is. On top of this, I'd have to cough up another $150 or so for an ipod controller/adapter. What are my options should I want to change out to an aftermarket head unit? Will this interfere with any controls? Yikes!
Hu-803 Cd Error What Is Happening Here?

i had the 803 in my 04R. i thought it did a great job and they're are secret menus for fine tuning the sound. the station knob is a pita but hey.
it does a terrible job reading self burnt CDs. you'll get errors everytime. use OEM sorry. i can't remember but some have mentioned sony discs IIRC working ok.
its a 4 disc so make sure they're all out. if they got stuck on me i'd use a business card and that would free them.
you'll have to look for a double din replacement HU or get a single and have a space thingy built.

Thanks for the useful info. Anybody have any pics of their aftermarket installs?
