Tracked down my serp. belt noise to the AC compressor clutch free wheel unit.
Anyone know if the bearing itself is replaceable or do I have to find a complete clutch assy.?
I'm heading on a road trip sometime this week and most of my time will be down south so I will definitely need the AC working and I can't have this unit fail on the road or it will cost my $1K just to get it sorted. OR buy a belt that works without the AC...

Opinion: Broken Bolt On Top Engine Mount Bracket
28 January 2012 - 02:39 AM
I wasn't paying attention when my brother-in-law started removing this bolt and it snapped. Ironic how it didn't even need to be removed errr...
anyway, this is opinion based so what do you guys think? take the time to drill it out with a lot of swear words or leave it be? as it is still really tight into the block due to it's inset insert on the mount. Idono, it's 36 degree out tonight, I have hardly any heat, bundled up like an eskimo and I really don't want to be drilling haha..

Road Trip!
24 January 2012 - 04:36 PM
My wife and I are leaving on a road trip for the rest of the winter. We will be heading to Philly, Sarasota, Phenoix, Boulder, and San Diego. Those are just the places on the top hits. I wanted to see if anyone wanted to put their name down for a person to call if the Volvo has any issues. OR if you wanna go out for a brewsky...
We will probably be all over the country although we have a good 2-3 weeks in Fl since I have an STCW95 course for 2 weeks.

Idea: Using Vw Coils Instead Of Volvo
21 January 2012 - 07:24 PM
I got to thinking that the VW coil packs might work for our vehicles. They are cheap and of the same design.
Due to the failure rate on the original VW coils, they dropped the price a lot! so in turn just using the VW coil packs might save use some cash when doing the set.
What do you guys think? shouldnt be an issue other then wiring in the connections?
Might be retarded but whatever!
