not too bad though add return line done deal gas tank is the same either way checked part numbers. how about the fpr can it use the on thats located by the filter or does it have to be the one on the rail?
On the S70 that I helped convert N/A to turbo he used the turbo S70 rail with no return and kept the stock FPR by the filter no issues as of yet.
I would think worse case if you are modding pretty good find the turbo one that mounts on the subframe and swap it with the one at the filter.
My buddy with the S70 is running 10 PSI boost with no issues.

I believe on most of the S70's and some GLT 850's the pressure regulator is on the subframe at the back of the motor or fuel filter. Which also should have a return at that point back to the tank off the reg.

I would try that way first and if there is issues then go with a 850 return line and fuel rail setup.

I called out the gap because I wasn't sure whether you two were signing up to be the go to assistance when it comes to helping those who decide they want to go this route.

And I think that's fantastic because I would love to see this be a real possibility for anyone who has the desire to tackle turning their NA into a turbo car. I've only been a negative nancy about this because of the experience that Daniel and Matt went through as a result of their efforts to convert his car. I don't want to see anyone walk into an effort like this blindly thinking it's a walk in the park.

With the proper write ups and assistance we can shift the answer to, "Yes, you can do it if you have all the right parts and assistance."
I have been a member for 6 years here already. I do not post all that much because I get tired of going through how posts like this go. I can be found on other Volvo forums with the same screen name. I have not had all that much time lately to get on but I would not have started on something like this if I was just going to back out after the post.

That is an awesome attitude to have and I for one am grateful to see you trying to help as much as you have. You were there all those years ago when I didn't know anything about my T5.

People are quick to spit out second and third hand information here so having a thread such as this where you can see that it has been done is great.

Only thing I could ask is do you guys think you can remember the parts needed? Even if it is just a rough draft? I think that will cut down on a lot of erroneous posts in this thread.

Thank You. Glad Info I have posted elsewhere has helped you out in the past. I have been working through alot of home issues lately so I can not go on the main forum I usually go on much. But over 8 years of info is already posted on there.

I just joined the forums to try to help not cause issues.

I am not here to start a pissing match either. But it really is not all that hard.
And to be clear he did not have a full donor car to use either. It was all pieced together.

Also another reason for this post is for people to ask and get their questions answered about the swap. I thought that is what these forums were for.

So these gaps can be filled if someone just asks a question.

He did all the work to the car in pretty much one weekend. I was not there helping him do it. I just gave advise on what needed to be done.

This is the second swap like this I have in some way been a part of.

To the people that have done the swaps it really is pretty much straight forward to do the swap. So if people have a sound N/A shell and they do it with planning and searching for parts the swap can be done for cheaper than buying a turbo one.

This is really awesome! Finally someone documented it!

Hah and oh you beat daisy!

Great work! I look forward to seeing if you do upgrades =)
But this project was also started before hers!
It was not a race it was done before we had even seen her thread.
This post was made to show it could be done and it is not all that hard!
