Swedish version of Kronors for Clunkers?

I find entertainment with this, here's why...if we all got together and did this to a 1995 smashed up Camaro with over 300 clicks on it (not that a GM product would ever make it that far), would we really care? I doubt it.

In Topic: My First Volvo S80

Oh cool! I remember this thread...I'm one of the only S80 owners left around here anymore (insert crickets to background) so I really should put my $.02 in, and this is mostly directed toward those lurkers that are looking for S80 information from here forward.
First off, I've actually owned a 2000 S80 T6 for the last 3 years and I still love the car. That alone, should weed out most of these wingnuts that are hating on the S80 as they are basing their opinions on hearsay only. With that being said, there is indeed alot of truth in this thread, however there are some misconceptions as well. There are inherent weak points to the early S80s for sure,.... was this previously mentioned? The transmission, of course is the largest one, and has been known to experience major failures, this particular failure will flat out leave you on the side of the road (I bought my S80 with only 2 gears because the previous owner was left stranded). The weak point seems to be the 3rd and 4th gear clutch packs, but the Volvo's tweaked valving may play a role in this as well. There are more threads online than I can count about the S80 transmission issues. (Nothing a rebuild can't cure, but this expertise doesn't come cheap) The ETM (Electronic Throttle Module) is the other big one that will flat out disable the car where it stands. The ETM is located under the intake manifold and if yours has a yellow sticker on it, it has been replaced with the newer version. If you see yellow, all is good.
Personally, I hate things that are less than perfect, so I've dealt with the other minor issues the early S80 typically suffers from as well, such as the infamous glove box squeak, sunroof rattle (you wont fix this one, just replace the whole track), and random panel noises. These issues are popular, and fixes have been documented all over the web.

Also on my to do list. Just a little worried about a dead battery and being locked out haha.
With 854, it is a bit different, however 8 series doors are about $50/ea now. Should this ever happen and the the battery drains, break the damn window, and head home to fit your cheap replacement regulator and glass that are already in stock. B)

Lookin sharp man! Perfect fitment. S/V70 door handles with door lock delete would be hot on it too.
