After looking at some of the profiles I realize i could be twice as old as some members and my oldest son is close in age to a lot of members.

My brother and I grew up in San Francisco. We started working on mini bikes when we were very young. then graduated to working on our motocross bikes and cars. He became a mecanic for a few years. He passed away about 5 years ago. I figured out that working on these cars kind of brings me back a lot of good feelings. Its like therapy.

I owned a p1800 for a short time when I was 18 or 19. It was really trashed and I shouldnt have bought it. I rebuilt the engine and never installed it. I figured out that it was going to cost me too much. it needed a lot of interior work and paint, and the overdrive. the body was straight. for a few hundred more I could have bought one in much better shape. of course a few hundred was a lot of money for me in the 70's. I wound up selling it to the owner of volov centrum in sf. I dont know if they still do but they ship the bodies (other volvos too) back to sweden as a lot of older volvos are rusty there.
