Snabb Fmic Thread.. Gauging Interest... With Pics!

15 May 2012 - 03:23 AM

FMIC kit for 850 manual turbos and 98 manual turbos. Not for autos...yet.

I have 25 kits on the way and need to gauge interest so I can figure out if I should order more right away or not. Unfortunately there have been countless delays getting these on the shelf and we're still looking at 3-4 weeks before I get the rest of the pipes in. I may take pre-orders if there is a lot of interest. (this will guarantee that you get one and allow me to order more..)

Price $495.00 (minus 10% if you're a supporting member here)
  • pipes are 2.25" polished aluminum, except for throttle body 90 deg which is 2.5" to help with the transition to an NA TB.
  • core is 24" x 6" x 2.5"
  • includes all couplers to hook up to turbo throttle body or NA throttle body and all clamps needed.

Snabb Parts @ Carlise

14 May 2012 - 02:48 PM

Hey all, I want to find out if anyone wants me to bring anything specific. I plan to bring some parts but I have a limited amount of room in my car..

If you definitely want to buy something from me then this would be a good place to list it. If you just want to look at something this would also be a good place to post.

thanks

Innovate Install Assistance Needed

11 May 2012 - 02:18 AM

Have an LM-2 that I'm trying to get set up on the 850

LM-2 has RPM and 4 differential analog inputs (as well as OBD-2 and wideband)

For the Analog inputs all I'm installing right now is TPS and MAF

I need to hook up signal positive and signal negative on both sensors. We've found the signal positive for both but not so sure about the signal negative. Can anyone tell me the correct ( - )signal wire that runs back to the ECU on both sensors? I got a service manual but the wires colors don't seem to match so I'm not sure which ones are correct..

What Did I Just Do To My Car? Need Electrical Short Advice

08 May 2012 - 03:14 AM

Had to take the intake manifold off tonight...told myself three times while working on the car that I need to disconnect the battery but guess what I never did. I had taken the plastic cover off the covers up the starter leads and I shorted the starter leads to the intake manifold or the intake manifold bracket (not sure what exactly) when I was putting it back together.

I went to start the car and when I turned it to the run position to charge the fuel rail (I have not actually started the car yet) There was a slightly unusual noise from under the hood, not sure what exactly, then all the lights (headlamps, dash lights possibly the entire electrical system) turned on and then off for a second then back on. So there was a very brief moment when the lights went out and then back on. This happens every time you turn the ignition to the run position. (before starting, and again I have not tried to start the car yet) I tried three times in a row and the amount of time that the lights went off increased slightly everytime.. after this little blackout happens the lights go on and stay on....

What should I look for here? I'm not sure what would cause this but I'm very reluctant to actually start the car until I can figure out what shorted out.

Take A Chance With Innovate Ot-2?

06 May 2012 - 03:36 AM

As always there are a lot of mixed reviews about the Innovate products. In this case for the OT-2 some people love it and it works great, others say it doesn't work, others say it's crap and customer service is nonexistant.

Anyone here using the OT-2? I'm thinking it might be worth trying it out (buying from a place that has a good return policy) and I'll just return it if it doesn't work...

I already have the Zietronix ZT-2 but there's no way to feed OBD2 data through it without buying their gigantic dash mounted screen interface for an additional $600. I've asked them a bunch of times if they would consider adding an OBD2 interface cable to send that feed to a laptop but always met with a "this is it, too bad if you don't like it" response. (which really sucks)

Feedback anyone?
