Closeups of the new ESM 004's:

Even with the 38mm offset, the axle nut pokes out too much to put the ESM caps on. 5mm spacers and it's golden. Pretty sure these will clear big brake kits.

Rears with 25mm spacers. I should say that all four corners are rolled with cut fender liners. KW's up front. Had to jack it up about 0.25" to accomodate the taller 215/45/17 Falken RT615's. They are a lot fatter than FK452's and Michelin Pilot Sport Cups at the same 215/45/17 size. And yes, I realize I'm missing a lug nut on one of the studs in this picture.

By the way, if you guys ever buy these thinking you're gonna get more traction, consider local weather. Up here, we get maybe a month and a half of 20C+ weather. While these suckers are cold, they don't grip worth shit. These actually make me miss my Michelin Pilot Sports, but everyone's saying to be patient until it warms up...LOL

High 12's Possible With An 18T?

28 March 2012 - 03:23 AM

In October of 2010 I managed to run 13.33 @ 109.64 on the following setup:

Fresh 18T, angled flange, ported wastegate, fresh 300/70 actuator
R manifold
Custom intake
iPD 3" turboback
iPD drop in intercooler, RIP kit
AC compressor, condenser delete, shorter belt
Freshly flow-tested/cleaned white injectors
New ignition components
Silicone vacuum lines
Aquamist
iPD Stage III Euro manual 850R tune, Turbosmart MBC @ 18psi
Mickey Thompson 24.5/8/15 ET Drag slicks
Slight weight reduction--no back seat, no spare tire, paneling removed over hatch floor

My question is, has anyone actually achieved high 12's at 110mph+ using a stock-frame turbo? A 19T-powered car, maybe?

If not, I think I will perhaps make this my goal this summer. I've been wanting to do a mild build (rods, pistons) for years now, but the 855R refuses to give me a good reason to swap a built motor in. *Knock on wood*

The reason I think high 12's are possible, is because I think that with a perfect launch, I can bring my 60ft time down another 0.25 seconds. What's a perfect launch, I hear you fellas ask? I'm thinking 2-step @ 10psi off the line? I've had my eyes set on the MSD 6AL w/ 2-step or N2MB's WOTbox for the longest time. I think the trap speed is high enough to warrant high 12's maybe?

Remember That Hx50, 700Hp, 200Mph 855? Well Now It Has 900Hp And An Hx60

Pretty sure this is not a repost:

679kW = 909hp

3:07 for some flames.

This is when it had an HX50 and 700hp:
