98 S70 Glt Stalls

Old lady in my community comes in to work every once in a while with a car question. I try to be patient
Anyway she drives a mint low mileage glt in white with dark interior...drool.
But she doesn't drive it anymore. Said that is stalls while she's driving, abruptly, and won't start back up for awhile.
I told her I'd take a look at it, figure she'll probably want to sell it one day and I'd like to be first in line...
Well, dont know a whole lot about diagnosing spark or fuel problems - which I figure it likely is - but any advice would be helpful. I figure half the time its something simple.
I drove the car, felt superb, really, i think she hardly drove this thing. All charcoal trim inserts, leather is still soft.
Anyway it didn't stall after 5-10 minute including WOT. Figure that it must be some sort of heat related problem if the car suddenly dies, and doesn't want to start for a little while after.
In the next few days I am tempted to drive it til it stalls, then run around like an idiot looking for something electrical and hot with my friend to back me up with jumper cables (the battery is toast)
I'd rather have a checklist of possible problems. Bearing in mind, I dont have any special tools for fuel system diagnosis or anything.
Anyone have ideas? I can handle most repairs. Just a little out of my breadth here

What Do You Guys Use To Clean Wheels?
07 May 2012 - 01:44 PM
I am really put off at spending 6 bucks for a bucket of shlock. Lately i've just been using a rag and WD40. Doesn't really work too well. Looking to avoid store bought approach. Anybody out there have any personal favorites?

Hey Guys,
Wouldn’t it be great to see other user’s set-ups and their dyno results in one clean package without scrolling through different forums and trying to decipher what’s bullshit and what's not?
My idea is to collect user's dyno results and set-ups.
Once collected and cleaned up, I'll publish it for everyone to enjoy.
Why you shouldn't submit your data:
You have to waste 10 minutes of your precious time rummaging through empty beer bottles and junk mail to find your dyno results.
Everyone will see how much money you wasted to get 50 more horsepower.
I’m too busy fapping to type.
My car is awesome, and I don't need to prove it.
On the other hand...
You could:
Help other people like yourself get inspired
Talk about different approaches
See what's been accomplished
Cut back on bullshit claims (how much power out of a 16, 18,19t, etc.)
Make a good reference point for n00bs (how can I get 900hp out of my 17 year old NA 850?)
If you’re interested in participating in The Ultimate Volvo Enthusiast Database, PM me or post here.
Cheers,
Adam

Hey Guys,
just bought an EK hatch. 5 speed, no power steering. little itty bits of rust...everywhere. So far snapped three bolts taking the front bumper off.
My plan is to daily it while I go to school and save up for something else, most likely Volvo but possibly something else.
Can't drive it yet cuz i can't insure it yet. Cant insure fit yet cuz I still have the Volvo insured. You know the drill. Freaking paperwork and shit.
However took it for a few nice rides previously. Absolutely balls to the walls fun around town in first and second. Peppy as hell and the wheel really communicates.
Highway driving is not like in a Volvo. Power is abysmal. Forget about "passing". Not like a 5 spd t5...and the thing is fucking loud on the road. I always hated on the Volvo harshness and rattles but they are still pretty damn quiet to cruise in.
But, it gets 35 mpg. I have no full time job anymore so this is key for me. Only ran me nine hundred dolla!
All I have to do is sell the Volvo and I'll be ready to get it on the road.

The interior is just freaking awesome. Best condition i've owned, dark leather, dark wood, all lights work etc....
She was just starting to grow on me
I have to do the t belt on the hatch so I'll keep you guys updated. My buddy drives an accord and is gonna lend a hand since I've always been a Volvo guy.
That's all for now folks hope you enjoyed
