850 Chrome Jewels - Center Led Portion

07 May 2012 - 05:40 AM

Considering doing a retrofit using 850 chrome jewels. Problem is, I REALLY dislike the 5 LEDs in the center. No idea why they didn't make one that looks like the x70 jewels and call it a day.

So, has anyone removed it and replaced it with something normal? I think I've seen someone replace it with a CF piece. But how about replacing it with a piece that's chrome plated so that it matches the rest?

Does anyone have close up pics of the LEDs and how they attach?

Thanks all.

Want to swap the one I have to see if it is the culprit for an issue I'm having.

A/c Not Going: Clutch Gap Fixed, Cycling Every 10 Seconds, Recharged 1 Year Ago

05 April 2012 - 04:05 AM

This is strange.
* My clutch gap has been fixed and is within the tolerances of ~0.02 inches (originally bread clips, re-did it with zip ties instead; still ghetto, but works).
* I had a mobile A/C tech vacuum and refill my freon last year.
* No codes on the ECC unit. The lights used to blink a month ago, but now do not (I think it was one of the dampers causing the fault).
* I can hear and see the A/C clutch cycling about every 10 seconds.
* Every time it cycles, I can clearly hear a relay inside the cabin that is fairly loud. It is not the A/C relay next to the blower, but another one. Never heard this one before, is that normal?

Could it be that the freon is super low again?

Maybe the ECC unit is fubar?

Warm weather is approaching. Help please!

Question About Center Console For 850S With Wood Trim

01 April 2012 - 01:09 AM

For those with factory wood trim on an 850. Is the cover directly under the hand brake handle black or grey (to match the grey plastic around it)?

From what I've seen, that cover is black while the plastic around it is grey. Does anyone have one that matches the grey trim? If so, can you get the part # on the back of it?

Cheap Generic Lip To Protect Front Bumper?

27 March 2012 - 02:00 AM

Want to protect my new R bumper from scrapes. Yes, driving more carefully would help, but sometimes you can't avoid a crappy driveway.

Are there cheap aftermarket lips that can take scrapes and fit relatively well?
