My 1995 850 NA just passed 260k on last Saturday. The engine noise is definitely louder than a few years back when standing next to the car. Inside the car, noise level is still acceptable (quite low). Is it normal for an "old" car like mine to have louder engine noise ? If yes, what is the main contribution of the engine noise, cylinders, lifters, or else ?
One thing for sure, it is not the same noise level as it was new (back in1995) when standing next to it :-D
