Its definitelty their for a reason just ask my sister who had her boyfriend never put it back on after repair will needless to say she was backing down our parents steep driveway and at the very end the car hit and scraped the reciever driver and put a hole in it. It is definitely for protection because I have seen many cars without them either have a crack or deep gouges in intercooler and sometimes the bottom of radiator

O.o Ryan.

Make sure the connection is secure, and there is cooalnt in the section of the sensor. aka shake the bottle a little.

I just did this on my 98 and the light popped up, made sure connection was tight, then shock the bottle and it was fine. just needed to get some coolant on it.

Thanks for the tip but these bottles are different than the 98 ones, I have read online that people have had this issue just by moving bottle when doing timing belt replacement Does anybody know how the float and sensor work together

In Topic: 98 S70 Ignition Key Issues....making "plink" Noise When Starting

Had the same issue and same plink sound, and I was telling myself it wasnt the starter but it was the starter, I tried replacing the ignition switch and relays first. My best advice is tapped on on the starter solenoid with the handle of large screwdriver while having someone try to start car that is how I got my car started while why I saved up money for starter, if the solenoid is completely gone than the screwdriver test wont work

In Topic: 850 N/a To Turbo Motor Swap__ Whodunit ?

I commend her for trying to do it as few have accomplished it. the ones who were foolish enough to think it would be cheaper than buying a turbo car learned their lesson, but honestly it is more trouble than it is worth and cost the same as buying a turbo 850 so I dont even know why people still attempt. I could see if you have two cars you already own and the turbo was t-boned or something as being the only way I would phatom doing this project. If she does accomplish then kudos and she can come back and gloat about it but the risk is not worth the reward when you can buy an already turboed 850
