SO for a long time I have used volvo FCR and the alex peppers odb-II program for pulling codes, FCR has worked with the cables people recommend that you can get on ebay for $25 and also with the alex peppers cable. See as how both cables work with that program would it be reasonable to assume that the FCR recommended cable would work with the alex peppers program since they're both serial port to odb-II?

I realize this is 99-2010, I used FCR on my 98 and just bought an 07 R so that's why its still applicable here.
