In Topic: New Ipd Turbo Control Valve Vs. Ac Delco Tcv

FWIW, in my opinion, this part is just a switch. It either works or it doesn't. If it leaks then its broken and should be replaced. It will not give you "more" horsepower. I will only give you back what you lost when this part was broken.

Maybe the Delco part is made better and able to withstand the heat and hold the pressure better the the IPD ones. In this case the Delco ones are better since they last longer. The IPD version 2 has not yet been fully vetted out yet due to just coming out. Time will tell. If the IPD one lasts just as long without breaking then the original question will be a wash with both parts being equal except in price. I'm cheap so you know which one I went with...

The IPD unit is plug and play. You'll have to make yourself a connecting cable or splice the original connector to make the Delco unit work due to having a different connector end. As the old saying goes, it's either time or money...

I went with the Delco unit since it was way cheaper and ended up making a new cable to connect it. Seems to work better then the stock unit but do not know if it performs better then the IPD one.

In Topic: Transmission Dipstick Tube Removal

Sounds easy enough but what worrys me is when you have to put it back. I can't see where the tube goes once it's pulled out. The tube seems to bend towards the transmission into a dark area that is surrounded by all kinds of hoses and stuff. Hate to pull it out and can't put it back in.

Or am I worrying about this too much???? It might be a piece of cake once I remove all the intercooler tubes and stuff...

In Topic: 850R Springs On A V70

Also you might want to check if the rear springs used Nivomats. My 855R had them but I replace it with some stock non-Nivo springs and Bil TCs in the rear. It has a slight rake to it but looks cool...
