  1. It clears. I don't know how, but it clears Maybe the auto trans has a larger mount? because i'm almost certain that the S cover on the 35r is bigger than the 16g. Have you measured the diameter Ben? *also added a mods list on page 1
  2. I think I already posted a pic of the injectors.. Siemens 630cc I've had the manifold polished for a while now, but yea.. i prefer the polished look :)
  3. Didn't get as much done this weekend as I would have liked. Several trips to different stores to get the right nuts, bolts, washers, studs, tools etc.. Finally, I think I have everything. Cleaned all the shavings from the intake manifold and got all the crap bolted back on it. I got the coolant lines cut to length and the fittings on, oil feed is done. The stock oil return looks like it should line up. I'll just need an extra set of hands to get it on cause it's going to be tight. So the turbo can finally be mounted for the last time and all the lines connected. Should have that done sometime this week. I'm waiting on aluminum bends, silicon couplers and t-bolt clamps so I can start mocking up the intercooler piping. *cough Joseph* Some random pics..
  4. What was the car tuned with? How much boost? Stock bottom end? What other mods were done? exhaust size? turbo? head work? Do you have any of this info Charles or is that why you contacted Evolve? Interesting to see how they tapped the turbine for the external gate.
  5. I'll have some more done this weekend :)
  6. bump i'm dying to see this thing c'mon monkey master!
  7. Catch can is on the list, just gotta choose how i'm going to run it. ;)
  8. I forgot to take pics of the cam cover ready to go in with the cams installed but they're in. I quickly made my own cam locking tool and it was worth it. Much easier to have the cams held steady while your trying to bolt it back up. It also stops the cams from moving while you install the cam gears and slip on the timing belt. Pretty hard to mess things up this way. Anyone doing cam swaps, i highly recommend you make oneof these. Took all of 15 mins. the tool cam gears on, timing belt tensioned put on a few things last night.. S60R mani is in place, just need some more studs and then the turbos going on. after that, the next job is IC piping
  9. 19psi I think i should be able to make around the same power on 1/2 the boost with the new setup. The powerband should be much better also.
  10. NA cams are going in today
  11. Bit of an update Intake mani is bored for the NA throttle body My gaskets finally arrived yesterday so today the work began. How shes been sitting for like the last month I hate just watching my car sit there. Top dead center set and off with the timing belt, dizzy, cam gears, cam position sensor etc.. Lots of bolts later, the cam cover is eased up and off the dowel pins off stock cams dirty crosshatch & headstuds after lots of cleaning a fresh head gasket and on she goes head studs torqued down and that's it for today
  12. Not a whole lot going on this week. Going to bore out the intake mani for the NA throttle body. Hopefully pickup the gasket kit so i can put the cams in. I'm also going to drop a new head gasket in while everythings apart. Once that's done, i can start bolting things on Sorry if the pics look a little distorted. They looked fine on my home PC
  13. One thing at a time unless you guys wanna donate to help speed things up.... but don't worry, they're on "the list" http://www.precisionturbo.net/intercoolers...ategory_id=3013 31 1/2" L x 8" H x 3 1/2" D
  14. I'm looking into Nira at this point Stock perfos for the true sleeper look 35R. I'm hoping for full boost a little before 4k. We'll see..
  15. Mounted it to the front bumper support. Had to cut out a section with the angle grinder for it to fit properly. Also removed the tow hook. Used two L brackets and bolted it down through the top. You have to pull the whole front plastic piece off (with the headlights in) to drill and anchor the bolts but it's only a few bolts to remove. Here's a closeup. This was during mockup. It's since been sanded and painted etc..
  16. The collar/clamps look alright if done correctly. It's either just a hose clamp, or i put the collar on.. i'm going to put the collar on. winter ride is a Honda crx
  17. EDIT: My thread was neutered during the unarchiving process, so half of it is gone.. I've updated the first post with some pics. Latest upgrades start on page 17/18 Click here for the latest My setup started out with a 19T, BSR downpipe. BSR exhaust and Upsolute tune from Bill@adrenaline racing. This lasted just over a month before a few rods bent from detonation. I had a local machine shop tear the motor down and install VMS rods and pistons (I was one of Terry's first customers) I sent the head out to get ported/polished, 3 angle valve job, etc.. I ran the built motor with the same 19T, exhaust and tune I had before but never heard the sound of detonation. I beat the shit outta this thing for almost 3 years but I wanted more. The newest setup: 1998 B5234T3 Eagle rods Ross pistons Balanced rotating assembly Arp headstuds Ported/polished head 3 angle valve job Catcams camshafts Autotech racing valve springs Coil on plug conversion 850 T5-R flywheel Spec stage 3+ clutch Quaife LSD Race Lab tubular exhaust manifold GT35R (T3 0.82/.70 A/R) Tial 44mm wastegate Tial 50mm blow off valve Precision 600hp intercooler NA throttlebody 2.5" intercooler piping 3" turbo back exhaust Siemens 875cc injectors - Upgrading to ID1000s Walbro 255lph Fuelab 10 micron filter PTFE -6 fuel lines to tank Aeromotive FPR S60R fuel rail DO88 aluminum radiator Custom external oil cooler Nira i3+ EMS KW v2 coilovers IPD sway bars OMP strut brace Rear upper shock brace S60R caliper coversion front & rear 330mm rotors all around GReddy Boost gauge GReddy Oil pressure gauge Innovate LC-1 Wideband o2 V70R door panels V70R instrument cluster 04 C70 Jewel headlights & corners V70R front bumper STI front lip Mirzam 18x8" wheels 235/40R18 10mm spacers front 20mm spacers rear a few pics from the build.. The car is off the road for the winter turbo upgrade http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/biggrin.gif 19T was the first to come off, as was the stock IC and the BSR exhaust. 19T and GT35R: Precision intercooler mocked up: S60R manifold and new turbo mocked up. The turbo will end up sitting higher as I only had 8mm studs to mount it and the hole in the turbine flange and a fair size larger. It's close to the mount, but like i said, it will sit a bit higher after final install. I had originally planned on having a tubular exhuast manifold made, but ended up using the S60R manifold to save myself some headaches. I still wanted to run the external wastegate so I switched over to a 5 bolt turbine. 4 bolt: 5 bolt: Installed the Innovate WB02 and XD16 gauge: Siemens 630cc injectors: New coolant lines and fittings: GT install kit. I'm hoping I will luck out and be able to use the stock return line, but we'll see. Oil feed setup: Next step is to run the IC piping and drop in the NA cams. The 3" exhaust/external wastegate setup is being fabbed locally after I get all this other stuff done. Tuning.. yes I know someone's going to ask... is still up in the air. Nira is a possibility if the budget permits. I currently have a dualmass flywheel and spec stage III clutch installed. I have purchased a T5R singlemass flywheel but am still on the hunt for a good clutch. I will stick with the dualmass for a while and just keep the boost down until I can find a clutch and get my hands on a LSD. That way, it can all be done at once and then I can crank the boost up. Updating this with some new pics since the last half of my thread got lost.
  18. Will we ever see the June through October topics again?
  19. I forgot there was no IC. 260whp can definately be had for cheaper
  20. I would guess just shy of 300whp.
