  1. Exactly what I was trying to get at. Interesting results, where did you tap the manifold? post a pic if you got it. stock t5 manifold I take it?
  2. I don't know how much air you're going to be pushing out the exhaust side with the high exhaust manifold pressure from such restrictive manifolds/turbines. If anything, you're going to get more reversion. This is probably what kills a lot of the engines on here... exhaust gas goes back into the chamber, things get too hot and detonation starts. Not to mention the small compressors are usually out of their efficiency range, adding to the heat.
  3. Did you weld those in or just leave them free floating? I just wasn't sure if they could rotate during operation, blocking the oil passage.
  4. They are marked with an "I" or "E" on the ends I think the "RN VVT" cam is an exhaust cam, the other two are intake cams.
  5. Thanks Johann. So if one were to simply leave the VVT cams in and block the solenoid, would there be any problems with the cams moving? How would you determine what the cam settings were at? Sorry, i've never had the chance to look at the VVT up close.
  6. I agree, the timing certainly seems off. Then again, i'm sure mine is too Can you add TPS to the logs?
  7. Does it constantly run 14s at 1.2 bar in that one spot?
  8. Good job. Everything under the hood looks neat and tidy. Lets hope it helps to solve the problem :)
  9. Yes. I use a combined MAP/IAT sensor in place of the MAF with Nira. From my understanding, the disadvantages of MAF are that they can be slow to react, sensitive to damage, expensive to replace, and are a restriction in the intake. Advantages being that it measures the amount of air entering the engine making fuel mapping easy, and good for emissions over the entire life of the engine
  10. I think fuel line diameter comes into play before voltage at the pump on these cars. If you are concerned about flow, throw in a Walbro. Test the voltage since it's quick and easy to do, but I don't think thats the issue.
  11. Did you get the crank vents cut into the block during your build?
  12. Try saving as a gif or bitmap? not too sure there.. I was running an open catch can, but recently re-plumbed it cause it smelled like shit. Now my setup is basically the same as yours. I need to get a level indicator or a clear can cause I can't tell when mine gets full. (home made aluminum one) I think it needs emptying though cause its starting to smell a bit... or perhaps a line has come off. running 20-21psi right now
  13. Hit "printscreen" then open MS Paint and start a new doc. "control + V" or "paste" and then just save as a .jpeg.
  14. Mine will still do this sometimes if i'm not paying attention. Like yours, it is much better than when it was new. You have the 6 puck disc like mine? Mine is the dualmass version though... hopefully not for too much longer. Looks great Johann, nice work as usual. :)
