  1. You work with heavy machinery ?
  2. I was thinking that shifting would be a nightmare with them but they're perfect, thank you again. They've saved me from crying in the shower after a cold ride many, many times.
  3. I feel like this winter will never end! Saw pics of Detroit last week: Yeah, no thanks.....
  4. The clock on the support pole in Spencer's picture is genius, I may have to steal that idea. Trying to think of how to make our rough garage feel as clean and simple as the rest of the house. On topic:
  5. Better than expected, hitting the weights over the winter is paying off. Did especially well yesterday (11th). We've had nothing but ice, snow and rain over the past 6 weeks, it makes it hard to get real mileage on the road.
  6. Raced 45 miles Saturday and 42 miles Sunday on the "new" Scott Foil 20. What a bike! Super responsive and tight, corners were a blast and I never felt uncomfortable during or after the races.
  7. Don't let Mike (Flyfishing3) see this video. That many tattoos on one perso would give him a heart attack.
  8. I have Speedplays at the moment. Had them on the CR1 too. They're good, they have a few things I'd change but for the money, it's hard to find something with the clearance, the ease of maintenance, etc....
  9. Whoever sold it must be bummed, that's stupid cheap for Red!
  10. They just bought Time Warner Cable today. TWC bought our service provider less than 6 months ago. Both Cockcast and TWC rank dead last in customer service and customer satisfaction. I'm stoked! (said no one ever)
  11. 8 cars lost, and looking at the hole, it doesn't look like the cars won at all. I can't imagine what this will cost, both to repair and to try and replace the cars.
  12. Rollers are great if you know how to ride them. Cyplops trainers are rock solid, I got 12 years out of my 1st one and the second one still looks brand new after 2 years. Best trainer IMHO, if you have the cash: Lemond Direct Drive trainers. Pricey ($500-$700) but no wear on back wheel and excellent quality.
  13. I'd give my left nut for this weather. I'm getting ready for yet another trainer session, so done with this crappy weather.
  14. http://www.scpr.org/news/2014/02/09/42085/dumb-starbucks-coffee-shop-opens-in-los-feliz/ I wonder how long they'll last.....
  15. Stick to the components you have. You won't get what you think for the Campy stuff and it's already on the bike and working. If you want fresh, newer, better, buy a complete bike and sell the whole bike. Better option: if you can afford to buy a bike now, wait a few months to list yours. Bikes are cheap when they can't be ridden outside.
  16. Exactly. I could buy the same brand of bike I race at Dick's (Scott), but I would never have the same quality.
  17. And they would last 3-4 times longer as a Mongoose from Walmart.
  18. Illegal here 200 ft to the car in front and 500 ft to oncoming traffic for high beams.
