    Friend drives a Z3 M Coupe and got pulled over a few years ago for doing 60 in a 35 mph zone. The cop just laughed when he saw she was a chick, she got off with a laugh. No warning, no ticket, nothing.

    Very cool John! I'm dealing with some weird health issues (lactic acide build up and Brugada's syndrome) but hopefully I'll be back to posting bike pics soon. Thinking about building a single speed again. I miss having a beater bike to take the bars, etc...

    You realize it's not going to plunge right ? Turn off the TV, put down the WSJ for a few minutes and look at the trend over the past 3-6 months. The Dow's hit another high point, the day after all the talking heads were talking about stocks tanking and the market not recovering. If you're not sure about the market, invest in some real estate in your area. Find a neighborhood that's transitioning in the right direction close to U Pitt's campus and buy a place. You don't even have to manage it, just buy it and turn it over to a management agency.

    Heart palpitations following a hard race, but minor ones. It made him go see a specialist last week and they scheduled his pace maker surgery for this weekend. Didn't realize how dangerous it was until I read up on it this afternoon.

    Guy had no known medical issue but I think he had a massive heart attack. Speaking of which, found out today that a double cousin who's my age has been diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome. He had something like 7 endurance type races booked for the next 10 weeks (cycling and high altitude cross country), endurance sports is his life. Talk about a lifestyle change, he can't do any of it anymore.

    In his case, there was a lot of tree branches and parked cars. But he was in France, so narrow streets and plenty of limbs on country roads.

    I thought we had talked about this whole drinking and driving thing and how it has been working out for you. Grand-father was an orthopedic surgeon and did countless amputations over the course of his career for kids who'd done just that and lost a limb. It's apparently quite common (and was, before rear windows stopped coming all the way down)
