  1. LOL at the post saying you may have done a hub swap to make the wheels and brakes fit.
  2. F that, not paying to have my junk cut. Wow....
  3. Worked for me. Short version: Mike's got crabs.
  4. I love that he still shows 149K kilometers on his odometer.
  5. Probably not everyone's cup of tea but so well put together, it's amazing. No a spec of dust, no used part, nothing that didn't involve lots of planning. DSC_0202 by Exim-Cars, on Flickr
  6. Did you get my text ? Not sure that they're all going through with the new phone and iOS.
  7. Isn't 98.9% feedback on Ebay essentially the same as a C- in class ? So he's an average seller, at best ? And yeah, those seats are F-nasty.
  8. I wish I had better pictures of it. Powered by an inline 8 (buick engine). Daily driver for the owner of a local shop.
  9. All good down south Graydon ? My doc played with my nuts during my last visit. He told me what I already knew: nothing odd happening down there.
  10. Yes, text/email me tomorrow and we'll work something out.
  11. I like the frame a lot, down to its replaceable derailleur hanger. In 105, it's a weak bike IMO but once I throw my Force stuff on it, it should run circles around the Madone I trashed. Still peeved that I spent the money on a bike now but no point crying over spilled milk I guess.
  12. Reynolds ? Or Williams ? Williams are race only since they are Carbon tubulars. I ride/train on Mavics and those are staying. The Aksiums the bike came on will on my wife's bike and I'll probably sell the Ksyriums she has. Or do something different, I haven't thought that far.
  13. Race and wrecked. Friend T-boned a car, retired the frame and essentially gave it to me last year. I sent it off to calfee in CA who fixed it but warned that the cracks would reappear over time. They came sooner and the discoloration above the BB tells me the carbon or the putty for the joints is shot. Either way, the team discounts kicked in last week. I bought this: Switching all of my SRAM Force components over today and selling the 105 gruppo and wheels on Ebay. I'm trying to recoup some of my money, I really wasn't planning on spending anything on a bike for another 8-12 months. :(
  14. Retirement came early for the Madone... Crappy pictures but they are there on each side. There are also cracks on the down tube, below the head set, and on the rear triangle. I guess this frame has had enough.
  15. I'll post pictures later. The frame looks like death warmed over right now, paint is starting to change colors (WTF ?!), cracks are appearing in all the wrong places, etc.... I had no intention of dropping dough on a frame for another 12 months, so I'm swapping my stuff over to a spare frame. Older Madones are known to suck up water from every spot possible, this one just excels at it!
  16. I agree. Back on topic: emptied a full Mason Jar of water out of my frame after just 1 hour riding in the rain Saturday. WTF.... I'm starting to REALLY dislike Trek. Looking at jumping on the team deal and buying a Scott. The Foil seems like a great bike and I could use it until I'm racing comfortably as a Cat 3.
  17. The kind of shit my wife does to me.
  18. I have less than $300 in the frame, so ultimately I'm not losing my shirt on it. They seem to be cracks at the joints, typical for these older Madones but I need Calfee's green light to keep riding it into the Spring. I have a spare frame, another Madone that has less than 3000 miles on it. No cracks, nothing, it's basically my back up frame if this one dies. I'm looking at Foundry's stuff. I wasn't sold on disc brakes for the road but after riding a friend's frame, I'm sold.
  19. Cracks are back, I need to call Calfee. Not retired yet, still going strong, I just upped my life insurance. I'll switch frames in due time, too much going on to make it a priority now.
  20. Ha! I have family in Grenoble, if you're ever there let me know. They can show you trails that few people would be brave enough to attempt. Semi on topic: friend opened up a bike shop here in town. Friends have been buying like crazy from him. This purchase is shown for Mike, he'll appreciate the color:
  21. LOL, just drink more water without cutting back on beer. And don't drink shit, that's just gross.
  22. I think most of the road cameras are in russia. This was for sure. I haven't seen that many in France, Belgium, NL and the other countries I go to.
  23. Naps: same here, can't do it. I usually wake up 10 minutes into it and never fall back asleep anyway. Thigh: let it work itself out. It'll be brown soon and will probably be tender for a few more weeks. You dodged a bullet with that fall. Go buy a lottery ticket.
  24. Best part is the comment section, people blowing their wad after seeing the pictures. Honestly: no thanks.
